Prank-stars of 2022 pull out all the stops

Water balloons, duct tape, memes and superheroes…the annual Prank Week was no surprise, yet SMS girls were definitely presented with the unexpected. This Prank Week was one to remember for its integration of teachers, learners and the Class of 2022. It was an eventful and a light-hearted time before the storm of the November exams.

147 years commemorated

EARLY ON THE MORNING of Founders’ Day, different Grade groups met at different venues: Gr 7-9 started at the hockey fields and the Grade 10-12s assembled outside the chapel, while the Foundation Phase enjoyed their own programme with sack races, gg & spoon and balancing.

Oh Jerusalema, took the world by storm. At this point, every South African knows this simple, yet challenging dance. The song brought our school even closer together. Mr Van Wyk made the exciting proposal that every grade comes up with their own dance to this song. It was a great chance for everyone to escape from the reality of COVID-19 and have fun together.
