Book review on Moving Target by Lynette Eason

ZOE COETZEE

In the third book of Lynette Eason’s Elite Guardians series, Moving Target, Maddy McKay and Detective Quinn Holcombe are on the run from a serial killer who calls himself ‘The Chosen One’. Both of them are also running from their past and for their lives. Now forced into in a deadly game of hide and seek they have to do everything possible to say alive and keep their friends and family safe. The Chosen One has been more than capable of tracking them down so far.

Not only is it a fast-paced novel that will keep you hooked from start to finish, it also makes you re-evaluate your relationship with God and those around you. In the series, the reader witnesses the struggles of characters who are angry at themselves and God for something horrible they feel could have been prevented. This is what Quinn experiences.

I strongly recommend reading this series. It is a Christian series that also has bit of everything else from drama to romance. Reading the 316 pages will open up a different perspective on the world we live. This is an amazingly strong and deeply thought-provoking plot.

The Elite Guardians series is definitely a need-to-read. I can’t wait for the next book because if it’s anywhere near as good, I will be struggling to put it down. Definitely five stars from me!
