The atmosphere was tense as each grade took turns to listen to the Grade 11 manifestos in the Chapel. The learners in the audience sat expectantly; the only sounds that could be heard were the voice of the speaker and the footsteps as one speaker exited and the next one entered.
The St Michael’s team obtained a third position nationally at the annual science debating competition held by the South African Agency for Science and Technology Advancement (SAASTA).
This year’s athletics day was a refreshing spritz of normality after so many events and competitions had been cancelled due to Covid-19. Regaining some house spirit raised the mood of the staff and learners.
The Semester, school newpaper of St Michael's, has a devoted editorial team that comprises journalists, photographers, coloumnists and cartoonists. The Semester aims to provide information, educate and entertain.
