Grades battle it out at Cultural Evening

TIA DASRAM

The termly SMS cultural evening, which aims to promote the sisterhood between the ladies, took an interesting twist this term. Instead of houses competing against one another to earn points for the Queen Cup (awarded at the end of the year to the house that has the most points), grades competed this time.

St Michael’s ladies once again demonstrated how talented they are.

The ‘battle’ consisted of four sections: Charades, quick draw, acting, and singing. Rethabile Lebakeng was a pro at Charades while Innéz Ruiters proved excellent at guiding the Grade 11s with her drawings. Every grade received the topic for their play about ten minutes before they had to go on stage. The instant creativity they displayed was highly entertaining.

The Cultural evening gave the girls the opportunity to select classmates to represent them in a friendly, competitive atmosphere.
