MANANA KEBAUTLWILE
The Chapel Choir started 2020 on a very high note. The King’s Haven Guest House close to Bloemfontein was the ideal backdrop for a welcome repose from school, but also for a renewed commitment to the choir.
With the help of Miss Joanie Prinsloo, Mr Hederick Prinsloo and Mrs Esther van der Merwe, the choristers were able to learn eight pieces of music in two days. On the first day of the camp they were exhausted because they had had school that day, but they did their best and learnt five new songs. The choristers understand that music is what brought them together.
They were really excited to learn new songs and prepare for the upcoming ATKV competition. They had high hopes of going to Cape Town for the final. Unfortunately, all competitions were cancelled as a result of COVID 19.
Now it remains up to the 2020 leaders to uphold the vision. Lisa Makapela is the new Head Chorister, her vice is Mpho Raliopaneand the four monitors are Kamohelo Shai, Boitumelo Mokeyane, Kgomotso Alberts and Boitumelo Ntsatse.
