The SMS Chapel Choir excelled by achieving second position at the Cantamus National Competition for school and regional choirs. They participated in the category “Equal-voiced Girl Choirs.”
After flying for 22 lengthy hours across two oceans and experiencing three different time zones, five academic achievers from St. Michael’s (Neo Moliana, Itumeleng Semoli, Bonolo Mathosa, Leseli Katali and Unathi Seletswane) touched down in Boston, USA, for the first city on the itinerary.
At this night of high-end fashion and of dazzling looks, couture was the order of the evening. The Met Gala and all things glamorous, were brought all the way from America to the St Michael’s Matric Farewell.
The gold laureate is awarded to pupils in recognition of exceptional effort in academics, neatness and diligence, participation in extra-mural activities and strength of character.
After the exciting announcement of the 2023 leaders and all the celebrations, the real work began at the RCL leadership camp at Moolsmanshoek outdoor centre.
At the annual Valedictory Service for the Class of 2022, Mrs Imelita van der Berg described the Gr 12s as a group with a high emotional intelligence and as a ‘class with class.’
Everyone at St Michael’s knows her; everyone loves her and now the time has come for her to leave her Alma Mater.
