The question about their identity presented itself in many of the activities that the Grade 9 ladies took part in. On 24 February 2022 Russia invaded Ukraine. For many years tension between the two countries has existed as a result of the disintegration of the Soviet Union. In 1991 both countries declared independence and a treaty was signed. Since then, Russia has tried to take full control of Ukraine as a means of economic benefit and to unify the countries in that area for unilateral power.
